Miroku's family was cursed by Naraku. Naraku placed the black hole thing into his grandfather's hand and it passed down from generation to generation. The hole will grow and will eventually suck in it's carrier. If Miroku can kill Naraku, then the curse will be lifted. He joined Inuyasha and company to look for Naraku. On their journey, he tends to lie about sensing evil over the best house, just so they could have a good place to stay for the night. He also doesn't have a problem with blackmailing or taking money for helping the town people. Besides all those wonderful traits, he also has a weakness for beautiful women. He hits on every pretty girls and was very unsuccessful most of the time. He seems to like to grab Sango's bottom, which in turn, ruining every nice moments they could have together.
